David Dark will lead a Q&A about his book Life's too short to pretend you're not religious on Monday, March 7 from 6:00 - 8:00.  FYI, David is the brother of Elizabeth Wiley who works here at Paragraphs.

Melanie Dobson Author Visit June 27th

Melanie Dobson, Mount Vernon native and author of thirteen novels including Refuge on Crescent Hill, will be at Paragraphs Bookstore on Saturday, June 27th from 10:00 to noon. We will be showcasing her newest book Shadows of Ladenbrooke Manor.

Author Visit - June 20

Recently featured on the Today Show, Ohio author and TED Talk presenter Brittany Gibbons will be at the store on Saturday, June 20 from 6:00PM until 8:00 to promote her book Fat Girl Walking.

First Friday Author Visit

Young Adult author Vicki Leight will be at Paragraphs on Friday, June 5 form 6:30 PM until 8:00 to sign and discuss her book Cathc Me When I Fall, the first in her projected series about a Protector of the Night.

Amish romance author Shelley Shepard Gray will sign books on Saturday, May 30 from 1:30 until 3:00. 

Bookfast Club

The Mount Vernon High School Contemporary Reading Class will present their final exam at Paragraphs Bookstore on Thursday, May 28 at 8:30.  Come for breakfast and stay to talk to students about their favorite books.

June First Friday - Meet author Vicki Leigh

Ohio author Vicki Leigh will be at Paragraphs Bookstore on First Friday, June 5 from 6:30 - 8:00.  Her book, Catch Me Wehn I Fall, is a young adult fantasy.  Recruited at his death to be a Protector of the Night, seventeen-year-old Daniel Graham has spent two hundred years fighting Nightmares and guarding humans from the clawed, red-eyed creatures who feed off people's fears.  This is the first book in a projected series.

Amish Romance Author, Shelley Shepard Gray

Amish romance writer Shelley Shepard Gray will be at Paragraphs Bookstore on Saturday, May 30 from  1:30 - 3:00 PM.  She is the author of the Amish Brides of Pinecraft series.  We will be showcasing her latest book, The Proposal at Fiesta Key.

You're Abraham Lincoln, and you must fire General George McClellan.  Who is chosen to deliver the letter of dismissal?  A former mayor of Mount Vernon, Catherinus Buckingham.  Learn more about this long-forgotten Mount Vernon native on Wednesday, May 20 at 7:00 at Hunter Hall, 221 S. Main Street.  Peter Dickson will present a talk about Buckingham, and we will have copies of Peter's book Old Kenyon & Lincoln's Men for sale.
